I’ve been thinking about upgrading the headlights on my Nissan Patrol from the old halogen bulbs to something brighter because honestly the stock lights are pretty weak especially when driving on those unlit roads outside the city, and I’ve seen so many cars around with those crisp white LED lights that make a huge difference in visibility at night. I’ve been doing some research online but there’s so much conflicting information about whether you need special adapters, resistors, or if you have to worry about the canbus system throwing error codes, and I really don’t want to mess up the electrical system by doing something wrong. I’d much rather take it to a place that specializes in this kind of work rather than trying to DIY it and potentially causing more problems than I solve. I heard there’s a professional automotive lighting repair near MBZ City that deals with all sorts of lighting upgrades and repairs, so I’m thinking of heading there once I figure out what setup I actually need. Has anyone here done an LED conversion on their Patrol or similar SUV and can share what kind of bulbs or kit you went with, and whether you noticed a real improvement or if it’s more of a cosmetic thing? I just want to make sure I’m not wasting my money on something that looks cool but doesn’t actually help me see better at night.
